Work Instructions

Beyond PDFs taped to the wall

Electronic work instructions that enforce step completion, capture measurement data, and provide a tamper-evident audit trail — on any tablet or touchscreen on the floor.

Step-enforced execution

Operators can't advance to the next step without completing the current one. Required measurement inputs must be entered; electronic signatures must be applied where configured; photo evidence must be attached when the step requires it.

In-process measurement capture

Each measurement step is linked to a quality characteristic and spec limits. Out-of-spec entries trigger immediate escalation to the supervisor or quality engineer — not a shift-end report.

Electronic signatures with identity binding

Critical operations require operator authentication before proceeding. Signatures are linked to the user's identity, timestamped, and stored in the immutable audit trail. Compatible with 21 CFR Part 11 requirements for electronic records and signatures.

Revision control at the database level

When a work instruction is updated and released, every operator sees the current revision immediately — everywhere, simultaneously. No physical document replacement, no revision lag. Previous revisions are retained in history for traceability.

Photo evidence

Steps can require photo evidence (component orientation, assembly state, measurement reading). Photos are attached to the execution record and available in the traceability record for the serial or lot.
